About the ATA
ATA Europe Ltd is a subsidiary of ATA International, the world's largest centralised martial arts organisation with about 1,000 licensed locations worldwide. Since the ATA's founding in 1969 by Grand Master Haeng Ung Lee, our schools have trained over one million students worldwide.
For over 50 years, the ATA has enabled passionate martial artists to become skilled instructors and successful business owners. We were the first martial arts organisation to adopt computer recordkeeping systems, the first to publish a member magazine, and the first to develop an instructor training manual.
Throughout our long history, the focus of ATA International has remained the same: to provide students with the highest quality martial arts curriculum available in a fun and positive learning environment that people of all ages can enjoy.

Haeng Ung Lee
Grand Master Haeng Ung Lee founded the ATA in 1969, developed the Songahm style of Taekwondo, and inspired instructors worldwide with his philosophy of "Today not possible, tomorrow possible."

Songahm Taekwondo
Songahm Taekwondo combines ancient traditions with modern training methods. Its curriculum is integrated and progressive, providing a clear path from white belt to mastership and beyond.

ATA History
Founded in 1969, the ATA was the first martial arts organisation to use centralised computer systems and the first to develop a written instructor manual. We have long been a pioneer in business, instruction and training methods.
